Qlik Forts, Bringing the Power of Cloud Analytics to Data Wherever It Resides
Enhances Active Intelligence by Activating More Data for Analysis While Meeting Data Regulatory Needs and Protecting Existing IT Investments
Qlik has been making waves in the restaurant sector recently. They reported that Burger King and PizzaExpress have deployed Qlik Sense and Qlik Cloud respectively.
Qlik revealed this week that Burger King will be deploying Qlik Sense® across all local point-of-sale databases in 760 restaurants in Russia. This will allow managers and employees to see their restaurant performance indicators in real-time and adjust their outputs if there are complaints or negative feedback from customers.
The video below shows you how to get started working with impact analysis. Impact analysis offers a graphical view of the lineage of a dataset or app, showing the data inputs and outputs. The lineage graph shows the data flow of apps and data in your organisation. It visualises apps and datasets as nodes. Each node represents a step in the lineage of the selected dataset or app. This lineage information is compiled whenever an app loads or reloads data. If your app has not been reloaded recently, the lineage may be incomplete or inaccurate.
“BI and analytics platforms help organizations understand what happened and why, but users increasingly also want to know what will happen and what they can do about it,” said Doug Henschen, VP and principal analyst at Constellation Research. “These sorts of predictive insights were formerly left entirely to data scientists, but the trendsetters are closing the gap between BI and analytics and data science. With its acquisition of Big Squid, Qlik is extending and accelerating its existing efforts to enable non-data scientists to get predictive.”
Qlik revealed Qlik Application Automation: a no-code solution designed to drive action from context-aware insights through streamlined and optimised workflows between SaaS applications and Qlik Cloud.
A high-level view of how different organizational needs are achieved by different Qlik Sense Enterprise deployment scenarios. This presupposes that SaaS may not be an enterprise option at this stage.
“NodeGraph enables us to understand data lineage within our Qlik universe more efficiently and more completely, and consequently allows us to deliver value to the business with increased efficiency and confidence,” Lauren Coulombe, BI Developer at Ocean State Job Lot.
When deployed as part of Qlik’s cloud platform, NodeGraph will further expand Qlik’s existing SaaS roadmap and bring new capabilities to Qlik’s catalog, including impact analysis, field-level lineage, and personalized consumer user experience in areas of collaboration, cognitive, search, and relevancy scores on content leveraging data “popularity.” NodeGraph will also support Qlik’s hybrid data delivery strategy with lineage to enrich regulatory compliance requirements.
