Answers fills a knowledge void. It adds context to what is the majority of the true value in a business its “knowledge”. By having knowledge in knowledge bases readily available to all users business operations can run more smoothly.
A Knowledge Base is in essence an online library that you curate. You can add your files including PDFs for Answers to read. When it comes to security and sensitive information, you will of course want to create different sections that only the authorised people can use. This means you stay in complete control over who is privy to what information. Instead of creating different sections, you create distinct knowledge bases in Qlik Sense.
How to create a Knowledge Base & Assistant in Qlik Cloud?
In three simple steps you can be up and running with Qlik Answers:
1 Add a Knowledge base.
In Qlik Cloud with Create selected, look under Content and collaboration and simply click + Knowledge base.
2 Create an Assistant
The second step is to setup your interrogation Assistant. With Create selected, click on Assistant. Assign your Assistant a name and a tag. This is helpful because you will likely have a range of different assistants, each assigned to a different Knowledge Base(s).
3 Assign Knowledge Base to Assistant
You then assign your Knowledge Base to your Assistant by clicking ‘Add a knowledge base’ once prompted.
And you are done
Congratulations, you have setup your Knowledge Base with an Assistant and can now enjoy the benefits of Answers.
Where can Qlik Answers be deployed?
Answers can be deployed anywhere there is an internet connection. It can assist you and your team with your everyday workload through Qlik Cloud.
