Differentia Selects Next Generation AI based Threat Intelligent Management solution to bolster its #CyberHygiene
Differentia Consulting is a Managed Services company operating within the business intelligence sector, that primarily focuses on working with clients to establish/support their needs and requirements, or even guide them to a better understanding of their needs and requirements within this field.
At the start of the year Differentia Consulting completed its migration to becoming a pure cloud based business from a systems perspective. In doing so it became clear that it needed to enhance its cyber security capability, having delivered this previously via traditional security products, either included within the existing operating system(s), supplemented via third party security software companies, or within platform as part of a software as a service (SaaS) model. The need for an enterprise threat intelligent management solution was identified. One that could join up all the dots.
This need was further reinforced by Differentia Consulting being asked to respond to a security threat, raised by one of its own clients. Whilst this was handled promptly and professionally, it confirmed the growing theme and belief that Differentia now had to adopt best in class, pro-active, security capability to match the requirements of its evolutionary transformation, in order to better respond to the escalating entropy of threats currently faced within this ever changing and ever expanding digital world. It is becoming standard practice to sign client engagement contracts that mandate the use of adequate and suitable security technology to reduce the risk of infecting the client and being exposed to consequential loss claims. In conclusion, by the adoption of a world class threat intelligent management solution has the potential to reduce risk, exposure, and enhance Differentia Consulting’s reputation as a world class managed services provider.
Having consulted a retinue of next generation security companies, and ingesting many white papers as well as Gartner reviews, Darktrace was brought to its attention. Having reached out to Darktrace, via our partner DataBox360, to explain our digital footprint, our needs, and requirements, to better defend ourselves, as well as our clients, an accord was struck and an evaluation of the security tool deployed.

During the evaluation period, it became clear that the product’s value was undeniable, and it’s value-add capabilities irrefutable. We saw a drastic reduction in both malicious and spam related email traffic, a much clearer view of our internal network and the interactions within. Meanwhile the service was getting to know our behaviour and AI security models being customised specifically to meet our needs, based on an established pattern of behaviour defined by the system and shaped by Differentia. The context of every interaction was being challenged. Our business was being learned by the AI and machine learning capability of Darktrace, joining disparate services to create a virtual, enterprise threat management solution.
