At our Qlik Customer Day we had a great selection of customer and industry leader speakers talking to us about the latest trends, innovations and strategies for accelerating business value with data.
Pieter De Leenheer – Entrepreneur, Venture Capitalist and Computer Scientist. Also Chief Technology Officer at ZenOptics
Emerging technologies and digital business models create new options to explore and value data through analytics. Time compression forces business leaders to diffuse the responsibilities to explore these options to business lines and functions. More than often, where decisions are driven by data, calculation tends to supplant human judgement bringing risk into the mix, as not all analytics happens above the surface. Decision intelligence is essentially a human resource, a skill base that enables leaders to collectively select the right options at scale as their teams navigate the enterprise through uncertain business waters. In this keynote I will define Decision Intelligence; why it matters and how you can develop composable analytics to nurture it.
|Qlik Product Update
Stuart Wannop – Qlik Service Delivery Manager at Differentia Consulting
Move Fast. It’s one of Qlik’s core values. We entered 2021 with the momentum that continues to accelerate with the continuous weekly release cycle to the cloud. Qlik are moving fast but also taking time to pause to listen to our customers in the Ideation Discussion Board that influences the rapid innovations that our Qlik customers are benefiting from.
Many 2021 release features are already available to Qlik customers. Augmented Analytics continues to be a primary focus given its importance in influencing the entire data lifecycle from data preparation to delivery of insights. Augmented Analytics combined with human intuition is the recipe for more people to get the most value from their data, asking questions in a conversational manner leading to faster insights and data-driven business decisions.

With the climate emergency looming, sea-levels are rising, the weather is becoming more extreme and erratic, so a real-world example would be the ever-increasing threat of flooding.
In the UK Met Office records show that 9 of the 17 record-breaking rainfall months or seasons since 1910 have occurred within the last 20 years.
